Douglass Lane Walnut Cabinetry | Pacific Doorcraft

Walnut: Beauty and Function

In Saratoga, Pacific Doorcraft built the custom cabinetry and millwork for an entire home around one material: American black walnut. From the kitchen to the bathroom vanities and a hidden basement lounge, every piece balances distinctive craftsmanship with the daily needs of a family that lives and entertains here.

The Walnut Kitchen

The kitchen anchors the home with solid walnut tambour details and arched styling. Custom kitchen cabinetry supports an active home chef, with storage planned around how the homeowner cooks. A custom stain package connects the walnut to the surrounding rooms, creating a cohesive feel throughout the home.

The homeowner’s reaction says it best: “It’s perfect 😍 The kitchen hood is breathtaking!”

Cabinetry Throughout the Home

The same design language carries through the pantry, living area, mudroom, laundry, and bathroom vanities. Each space receives storage planned around its daily use, with finishes that connect it to the rest of the home. American black walnut brings a consistent sense of warmth to these custom cabinets and built-ins.

The Speakeasy

Downstairs, a hidden door opens into a relaxation lounge that doubles as a working wine production space. Satin brass fixtures and details drawn from the family’s heritage give the room its personal character. The layout supports both winemaking and time spent unwinding together.

A Cohesive Approach to Millwork

From the kitchen’s tambour details to storage throughout the home, the custom millwork connects distinctive design with practical use. The result reflects the family’s routines and the shared vision for their Saratoga home.
